Becoming a NKF Community Ambassador As an NKF Community Ambassador, you will share our message and raise awareness about our patient support services. Every leaflet placed, every poster displayed and every conversation held could help a patient or family member find support when they need it most. The NKF Community Ambassador Role As an NKF Community Ambassador, your role will include: Visiting healthcare settings such as renal units and hospital waiting rooms Placing or replenishing NKF Helpline leaflets and posters Helping raise awareness of the NKF and the services we provide Building positive relationships with healthcare staff and reception teams Acting as a positive representative of the charity with your local area Why be an NKF Community Ambassador We want to make sure we have a visible presence within all renal units, dialysis units, outpatient clinics, hospital waiting areas, GP surgeries and primary care settings (where possible). This is so patients and families are aware of the NKF’s vital support services, such as our Freephone Helpline, Peer Support Service, information library and patient campaigns. With only a staff team of just 12 people, we cannot achieve this alone, that is why your involvement can help make a real difference in patients accessing support and reassurance when they need it most.Eligibility 18+ years old A UK resident Register your interest Our SupportWe want to support you as you develop your volunteer role as an NKF Community Ambassador.
