NKF Liaison Officer

Job Title: Liaison Officer


Responsible to: Chief Executive Officer


Location: NKF HQ, Worksop, S81 8BW preferable. UK wide travel required.


Salary: £22,000 per annum dependent on experience, knowledge and qualifications, 36 hours per week. To include evenings and/or weekends, as required by the job.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to work for the National Kidney Federation, as Liaison Officer. This is a completely new post and the successful applicant will have the scope to develop the job role.

The National Kidney Federation is unique because, although there are other kidney charities, the NKF is the national kidney charity actually run by Kidney Patients for Kidney Patients.

We would like to appoint a person who is able to:

Develop and maintain contact with all Kidney Patients’ Associations (KPAs) affiliated or not to the National Kidney Federation.

To help set up a KPA in areas where there is no KPA presence.

Research into all aspects of kidney diseases and renal failure and areas of inequity and inequality of treatment.

Maintain contact with all Renal Commissioning Groups and provide input and assistance as necessary.


Empathy with kidney patients and the problems they face is essential. Knowledge of how a charity works is desirable.
