We’re thrilled to announce that we have secured funding from The National Lottery Community Fund of almost £10,000 to help us continue offering our Kidney Patient Helpline for free to kidney patients, their families and carers. We have seen an unprecedented increase in the number of calls to our helpline since March and the start of the coronavirus pandemic. This service is provided free-of-charge to the patient, their families and carers. 

The new funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, which distributes money raised by National Lottery players for good causes and is the largest community funder in the UK, allows us to continue: 

• Provide a library of more than 200 printed materials specifically for kidney patients.
• Cover the printing and postage costs for these printed materials.
• Distributed free of charge throughout the UK.
• Coverage of the telephone service – which receives hundreds of calls each week.

We’re so grateful to the National Lottery players’ support and are thankful this is helping us to continue providing vital services when our supporters most need them.
