The National Kidney Federation (NKF) raised an impressive total of £9,897 in their Spring draw raffle to continue their vital support for improving the health and quality of life of people living with kidney disease and those at risk.

The NKF organised a Spring Draw reveal joined by special guest Callum Bailey, County Councillor for Worksop North to draw the winners.

Callum Bailey, County Councillor for Worksop North and member of the Health Scrutiny Committee at Nottinghamshire County Council said: “It was a pleasure to attend the NKF Head Office today to visit the staff and get an insight on the hard work and support they provide for kidney patients, long may the fantastic support continue. I am delighted to have announced the winners of their Spring draw raffle and I am sure that the supporters that have entered will be too.”

Prizes announced on the day included the 1st prize winner who was awarded £1,000, 2nd prize winner with £500, 3rd prize winner with £250, plus 5 prize winners of £50.

Participants that entered the draw and added donations helps with future charity activities including future campaigns. A recent national campaign that the NKF launched includes ‘Meeting the Cost of Home Dialysis Treatment – Together We Can’ calling on Government and NHS Trusts to urgently review the way in which home dialysis treatment is funded.

Head of Fundraising and Marketing, Pete Revell said “We are extremely grateful to everyone that has supported us and took part in our raffle, this will enable us to continue our lifeline support to patients with kidney disease.”
