World Kidney DayThursday 11th March 2010
World Kidney Day have launched a Europe-wide competition to design an “iconic item” to raise funds and awareness. They write:
“We want to create a World Kidney Day iconic item, (like the pink ribbon for Breast Cancer or the poppy for Remembrance Day) that will be produced and available for sale around the world, to help national foundations and societies raise funds and awareness for World Kidney Day 2011.
“Please contact junior schools, patients in your hospitals, design students, friends and colleagues to think about it and send us their drawing:
- Electronically to: info@worldkidneyday.org
- By post mail: World Kidney Day, c/o Interel Association Management, 22-24 Rue du Luxembourg, 1000 Bruxelles, Belgium
“Here are the requirements:
- It can be an item that you can pin to your clothes, a bracelet or another visible accessory
- It is a plus if it respects the current World Kidney Day visuals or the logo’s colour codes
“The WKD Steering Committee will review the drawings in the beginning of March and we will announce the winner on 11 March 2010.
“The winner will receive a prize of 500 euros.
“Anyone can participate! Take your pens and paper and start thinking!
“We look forward to receiving your ideas!”
