Kidneys from abroad

Whenever kidney patients come together, tales are frequently related about other patients who have travelled abroad for a kidney transplant and the dire consequences that resulted from this. The NKF would like to begin to establish the truth or otherwise of these tales.

If you have been abroad for a kidney transplant, please write to the NKF to let us know about your experience. You can write anonymously if you prefer, and you need not identify the exact location where the transplant took place. However, an indication of the country would be helpful.

The NKF will not publish these accounts in any form – they will simply be used to increase our understanding of what is really happening. Please write in to the NKF office, The Point, Coach Road, Shireoaks, Worksop, Notts S81 8BW, if you are a patient that has been affected by this.
