Kidney Patient Association (KPA) pages

The NKF is a federation of about 70 separate Kidney Patient Associations (KPAs) geographically spread across the UK. These pages contain details of the local contact and activities of each KPA.

Guidance notes

These KPA pages are indexed by KPA name, Hospital and Town. Click on the drop-down box you wish to use on the left of your screen, then on the KPA, Hospital or Town (as appropriate) to view the details of the KPA.

For example, if you know the name of your local KPA, click on the KPA box on the left then click on the KPA.

If, however, you want to find the KPA for your hospital, click on the Hospital box and select the hospital (not all satellite units are covered).

Finally, if you do not know the hospital or KPA name, then you can use the Towns index: click on the Towns box on the left and then the town; the KPA page covering the renal unit in that town will appear. London hospitals are not necessarily geographical in coverage and so cannot be reached by this method.

Request for more information from KPAs

Any United Kingdom KPA that has not yet submitted details for display on these pages is invited to do so. So, if your KPA does not yet have any details on, for example, its Aims or Contact Details on this website, please print off a PDF form (Click here to download PDF file - see note below) and enter details about your KPA on that form. Ask your KPA Chairman or Secretary to sign the request and send the completed form to the NKF (see address below) giving your name, address and, if appropriate, your position within the KPA. Your KPA details will then be added to this Local Groups zone on this website enabling others (including potential members) to find out about your KPA and its activities.

Note on PDF files - to download this file format, you will need a copy of a PDF reader such as Adobe Acrobat Reader (available from the Adobe website if your Internet browser does not already contain it).

Updates

We also welcome updates to the pages, so if your KPA has any events coming up, please write or email the NKF office with details. Again, please give your position within the KPA eg Chairman, Officer, Member.
