The NKF Holiday Pages —Last Year I went on holiday to New York. for 10 days. I dialysed at the Lower Manhattan Dialysis Centre. I had to pay for the cost of the Dialysis, but claimed it back through my hospital.
I would give the unit 3 stars, the treatment was adequate, and staff were very friendly. There was no offer of Tea/ Coffee or food during the Dialysis, but they did have TVs around the unit you could watch. The Unit is right in the centre of Lower Manhattan, so was close to all the local sights, e.g. Empire State Building, and the Statue of Liberty.
I thoughly enjoyed my holiday in New York, and would recomend any one who has not been to go, its an experience of a life time.
