Croatia
Jim and I saw the advertisement for the dialysis unit at Medulin in Croatia, looked at it on line, saw how beautiful it seemed and decided to “go for it”! We have never been to Croatia before and thought it would be nice to go somewhere new.
The dialysis unit is in Arcus Hotel in Medulin but we opted for a self-catering holiday instead, although once we saw the hotel we wished we had stayed there! The dialysis unit has about 20 stations, all with new Braun machines. The staff were very professional and friendly and I was assigned an English speaking nurse and assistance. A doctor was in attendance at all times.
Medulin is on the Istrian Peninsula which has a ‘wiggly’ coastline. Everywhere you drive there are stunning views and every little road off the main road led down to a pretty bay. Medulin itself is a small, pretty village. Our two weeks were heavenly.
If you like a relaxing holiday and you can get the funding for your dialysis, this is a place I would recommend.
