29th & 30th September 2011, Lowry Hotel, Manchester
Renal Tsar Donal O’ Donoghue and renal clinicians from around the world hope patients will join them at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester for two days at the end of September to consider Wider perspectives in Home Dialysis. The organisers encourage NKF members to take part.
The symposium, which is organised by a Scientific Organising Committee in association with the Manchester Institute of Transplant and Nephrology, Central Manchester Healthcare NHS Trust, and the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, will feature speakers from Australia, the USA, Denmark, and the Netherlands as well as from the UK. NKF Chief Executive Tim Statham is expected to address the gathering on Patient pathway — aiming for the best, bringing the formal speeches to a close.
Tim observed, “I regard this as a very important Conference.” The NKF has been campaigning for greater Home dialysis options for many years, so this is a very welcome development.
A representative of the Organisers commented, “Patients are both audience and speakers at this meeting along with multiprofessionals. Would really be grateful if NKF members can be encouraged to attend and participate.”
