If you want to know more about CKD, this introductory book is for you. Many people have CKD, but most of them feel perfectly well and only a few will ever develop kidney failure.
However, your kidneys have important jobs to do, so if there is anything wrong with them, your blood pressure may rise - which increases your chances of having a heart attack, heart failure or a stroke.
This book tells you how to take control of your body and protect your circulation.
I would strongly recommend CKD Health Check to patients and professionals, and will be using it in my practice
Dr Ian Wilkinson, General Practitioner and Renal Services Lead, Oldham Primary Care Trust.
